Project 1

 I'm making this animation based on the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (Bono version). 

First I made my background and objects I'll be moving in Illustrator. These two screenshots are for the first few lines: "picture yourself on a boat on a river, with tangerine trees and marmalade skies".

I made the squirrel on the boat move along the river, zooming out to show the tangerine trees.

"Lucy" comes out of the tangerine trees, holding balloons to make her float. I made the background move so that it looks like she's moving upwards. 

I made "a girl with kaleidoscope eyes" riding a unicorn, "cellophane flowers of yellow and green" and "Lucy" letting go of the balloons. I saved a diamond and plane image. 

I made the diamonds move across the background as they get bigger and smaller. 

Then I made a black "drip" effect on Illustrator. 

As the drip effect comes down, Lucy switches to the version that lets go of the balloons. 

The screen goes black and she fades.
