Project 1_Amber Gulbin
Week 3
I forgot to take screenshots at first, so here is a screenshot of what I had started to draw on illustrator. I drew a hand from an image that I had googled of a hand holding a phone. I also drew the phone as well. The phone screen is an actual screenshot from my iphone on my apple music app. I used the brush and blob brush tools to draw everything. The background is one layer, and the hand and phone are together on another layer.
Here, I used the color selection tool and took from the actual screenshot, then I used the shape tool to fill in the gaps between the screenshot and the edge of the phone that I had drawn.
Here, I have added another hand which I also drew based on a hand I found on google. I used the blob brush tool for this and it is on a different layer. I just placed it off to the side because it is going to be used in this scene as well, just not in the first second. I also created two more layers and cropped the pause sign off of the screenshot and placed it to the side, then drew a play button and put it to the side as well so that when I animate it, it starts as a play button and when the finger covers it, it becomes the pause button.
Here, I looked at my storyboard and drew the side of a girl's face.
Then, I took a picture of my hand holding an earbud and opened it in illustrator. I traced over it and copied and pasted it into the original file of the girl. Next, I'll draw the earbud for the hand to hold.
Here, I drew blue dashes in separate layers that I then uploaded into After Effects and animated their positions outward.
I also did purple dashes just like the blue ones and put them into after effects and did the same animation, just one second apart from the blue.
I did the same thing with green (not pictured), and then yellow, where I also uploaded them to after effects and animated them the same, just one second after the other.
Here are two more designs that I drew in illustrator and animated in after effects. The spirals spin and grow from a small size to a bigger size, and the stripes come in from apposite sides of the screen, all on beat with their respective spiral.
Here I'm working on animating the sparkles/stars and little dots.
I drew this burst shape in illustrator by drawing one curve and copying and pasting another, then selecting both of those and copying and pasting and flipping it so that it was all symmetrical and facing the correct way.
In this picture you can see how each layer comes in one second apart from each other and stays until four seconds from the first layer.
