Weekly Video Response - Cam Jordan

 Week 2

This week I watched "Boney M - Rasputin" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNcJg7TF5bI).

I love that this is pretty much just a music video for the song, and the fact that it's a collage animation makes me like it even more. Big fan of the cat playing the banjo. The transitions and background changes are really smooth and look really nice. Honestly, my only complaints are that it ends so abruptly and that some of the animations are repetitive. I can get past the repetition though since most music has repetitive sections.

Week 3

This week I watched "Fever Collage Animation" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f39vj_HRZAQ).

The red theme is really appealing to look at. I like that the opening matches the music well, it would be really interesting if the entire thing matched it rhythm-wise. The absurdity I feel matches well with the tone of the song. I think the animation style is very unique, it's animated very well, and it reminds me of an old 70s/80s music video/advertisement.

Week 4

This week I watched "Parker Bossley - Chemicals" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHfBR1mo79U).

Right off the bat, the stop-motion gives me MAJOR Coraline vibes. The lip-syncing is really impressive for a collage animation. Despite having like 4 different animation frames, it matched really well with the singer's voice. This is another very absurd animation, but I think the themes of each scene of the animation are fitting for the song. The production quality is great, I could see this being shown on MTV back in the day. Don't really have any complaints for this.
