Project 2 - Ashley Stingel

The storyboard

I used a stack of CDs, game cartridge cases, anything I could find to place my phone on to get the right angle.

My biggest issue with filming was trying to get the camera to stay in focus on the subject. Both manual focusing and object auto-focus were giving me trouble. I ended up redoing a few scenes, but the final product still has focus inconsistency.

For scenes like this where I am in front of the camera, my phone has a voice command option. For every frame, I said "cheese" including a handful of other scenes where I needed to move my shadow away.

I downloaded sound effects as well as a green screen effect to add more emotion to objects.

For my video, I first had to draw Totoro for the beginning of the video, and as the focus of the story. By the end I used him again as an ending title.

The final project timeline - came out to about 290 frames and 40 seconds long (blue segments are ones that I labeled to make longer.)
